History
At the end of the Infinity War, Thanos had his Time Stone stolen by Captain Marvel, who used it to resurrect some dead heroes but they, and some survived heroes including Tony Stark/Iron Man, were somehow duplicated once Thanos attempted to take the Stone. After the accident created them, he decided to use these copies of the Avengers as new members of the Black Order.
This Tony Stark was the same as his primary counterpart, with some differences in his life, and he did not have the same amount of Iron Man armors as the "real" Tony, but due to being a duplicate of Stark while he wore his armor, this Stark had one armor, becoming the Iron Patriot.
After Iron Man killed Thanos, the dark versions of the Avengers went their separate ways, with Iron Patriot on the run.
