History
When Jim Hammond and Valeria Richards landed on Arthros, Annihilus felt the disturbance. No one had come to the Negative Zone from the Positive Universe since the Earthlings he used to fight, the Fantastic Four.
Immediately knowing that those who usually came from the Positive Universe usually got in his way he went to meet the two intruders. He was surprised when only one had powers and it was similar to an Earthling he had fought before. Still they got away but the encounter was impossible to forget, and while he knew it was going to take hundreds of more years before the next encounter with Earthlings, if it even happened at all.
Still he sent the Super-Adaptoid to see how the Earth would deal with the threat. There subsequent struggle allowed Annihilus to prepare for a takeover of the Positive Universe, believing it to be weaker than normal.
The next time the Earthlings showed up there was five of them. He watched them take down a good chunk of his forces in Argor and on Arthros but wasn't too worried as Darkfire had sabotoged their chance to destroy the Annihilation Wave.
He also didn't believe they would have the chance considering the time he would have to prepare his fleets and get them ready for war. This didn't seem to matter as in the end a third group had managed to get to the Negative Zone before his troops were ready and destroy nearly all of them.
Using the Cosmic Converter Rod however he was able to bring 3 ships with him. The ships were eventually destroyed and Annihilus was then forced to fight the Avengers and X-Men. They took his Cosmic Converter Rod and eventually Talia destroyed most of his physical body, rendering him moments from death. Torunn however was the one who eventually killed him. [1]

Equipment: Cosmic Control Rod: The source of Annihilus extreme power, with the Cosmic Control Rod in his possession, the rod gives Annihilus control over cosmic energy. It has almost limitless applications thought Annihilus uses it the most to better his own well-being. He uses it to slow his cellular degeneration, and ward of disease. He can use it to boost his own strength, to fly through space and fire huge energy blasts capable of blowing up up to 10 megatons.
