History
Annie Brock was the daughter of Eddie Brock, the infamous Venom and adversary of Spider-Man. A resident of the poorer part of the Bronx, she begrudgingly came to the aid of Spider-Boy when he was wounded and pursued by both the Black Tarantula's men and the Last Hunter. Though she frequently belittled the newest webslinger, she agreed to help him escape and resolve the situation in return for learning who he was under the mask. Despite her animosity towards anyone wearing the spider symbol, Annie grew fond of Spider-Boy and retracted her demand when it was all over; in gratitude, he revealed his identity willingly.
She was later revealed to also be an incoming freshman at Midtown High, using her proximity to Benjy and his friends to effectively blackmail her way into the team. Over time, she and the young Parker would grow closer, and after a period where she frequently flirted with Dwayne Brown the two would admit their feelings to each other and begin dating, a fact they desperately attempted to hide from Benjy's family.
