The "Anivengers" aka The Animal Avengers are a team of unified heroes formed by Nick Furry to fight against invasions that threaten the Earth.

The Anivengers is a team formed by S.H.E.L.L.'s Director; Nick Furry as a response force to various and particular extraterrestrial threats, invasions, or attacks. The Anivengers don't usually work under the United Nations unless called in otherwise.

Since the early 1980s, S.H.E.L.L.'s Director; Nick Furry has had a few encounters with extraterrestrial events and attacks such as a Skrull infiltration among the organization and on Earth. He even had to resort to getting help from Ms. Marvel to stop the Skrull Invasion. Soon enough Nick had plans in the work to prevent this from happening again called the "Anivengers Initiative" in the mid-late 1990s.

Iron Dog

Later in time, Nick's first candidate for the Anivengers Initiative was Anthony "Tony" Stark aka Iron Dog after he was captured by terrorists into building weapons for them and of course, later escaping and leading to the events of stop building weapons, battling with Stane and coming out as the superhero vigilante. The shocking news shook the world that truly put Stark on S.H.E.L.L.'s radar, though he was on their radar beforehand when he had his secret identity.

He was soon approached by Nick at his house at night, wondering if he has heard of the Anivengers Initiative, offering him a spot on his response force.

Six months have passed since Tony came out as Iron Man, donating his belongings and appointing his wife; Pepper Potts to being CEO of Stark Industries. Nick sends in Natasha Romanoff to spy on Stark and his belongings whereabouts such as his missing mark II armor that was stolen by his colleague; Rhodey and a wanted criminal; Ivan Vanko (Whiplash) in Los Angeles. Soon enough, Tony accepts the role as an Anivenger as long as Rhodey was part of it.

While somewhere else, Dr. Bruce Banner was experimenting with Gamma Radiation, mutating him into the Hulk, hospitalizing his lover; Dr. Elizabeth "Betty" Ross while also escaping from her father's; General Ross grasps on making the hulk a military weapon around the country. Emil Blonsky grew jealous that General Ross chose Bruce over him for a military superweapon considering Bruce had no military training and felt that he should have the Hulk power, Leading to an all-out fight in New York City and defeating Emil aka "Abomination". Putting him on the radar's list of SHELL.

31 days later passed, Bruce was residing in British Columbia. Instead of ridding the Hulk, he was trying to gain control of the Hulk if he was ever needed. Nick Furry approached him with an offer of the Anivengers Initiative and humbly accepts the offer while Tony approaches General Ross that a team was being put together and offers a role in the same position or at least as a stand-in.

Elsewhere, In New Mexico, a team investigates a mysterious and unusual phenomenon in the New Mexico desert and hits a mysterious man inside the storm with their van. The event caught SHELL's attention but was too late to secure the artifact as locals were trying to take the object away but failed miserably. Furry assigns his top agent; Phil Coulson to retrieve the artifact and Thor was exiled from Pridegardia (Pride/Asgardia) to Earth as unworthy for his recklessness as an attempt to retrieve the hammer.

While dealing with antics on Earth, a destroyer was sent to Earth by Loki to destroy him but was foiled in the end and Thor has gained worthiness again and reclaimed his hammer.

Captain America

Before the modern age, Steven Rogers also known as Captain America wanted to serve his country in the US Army in the 1940s during World War II but he was unfortunately not fit enough to serve. He was then brought into a special program called the "Super Soldier" program that artificially enhanced his strength to help fight against the tyranny of the Red Skull and Hydra while serving along with Agent Carter and Bucky Rodgers.

During the final days of WWII, Steven sacrificed himself to stop the dropping bomb on America and crashed into the North Pole, freezing for decades after WWII. Years after being frozen by time, he was recovered by SHELL to return to service as the "First Anivenger" though he is unaware of his old friend and hopes to find him.

Black Panther

While overseas, In Africa was hidden country closed off to the rest of the world named Wakanda. The true modern futuristic society sealed off from the rest of the world even to their own people with their valuable mineral called "Vibrainum" that powers their country. T'Challa is to become the king of Wakanda with his Panther Tribe as the leading tribes of Wakanda.

Of course, one native member wanted to show the power of Wakanda and Africa by bringing out Wakanda weaponry into the world, as a way to get revenge on people in America. T'Challa knows that wouldn't change anything or even make them better than what happened centuries ago.

Soon after killing him, he took the advice of what he said about bringing Wakanda into the world but instead violently, it was an outreach into the world to help others. Thus putting him SHELL's radar for the Anivengers initiative.
