Anamarija Konstantnova Italiyanska (Macedonian: Анамарија Константна Италијанка) is a Hydra agent and was one of the Widows from the Red Room Academy. Anamarija had also worked for the Soviet Armed Forces for a brief time in-between her time as a Widow and Hydra Agent. As a child, she was indoctrinated into the Red Room by General Dreykov, becoming close with his daughter Antonia. Alongside other Widows, she had undergone extensive psychological conditioning before graduating.
After the supposed death of her dear friend Antonia Dreykov, she developed a deep hatred towards Natasha Romanoff. She continued her training, so she would be considered an equal to her enemy in both combat and intelligence. She worked as an assassin and an operative for the KGB, doing what she could to keep an eye on her enemy, before joining Hydra.
Even though she had already been trained by the Red Room, she was sent to the Hydra Preparatory Academy so she could be fully admitted into Hydra. She submitted herself to the Centipede Project, even though she was rejected for the Project, though she continued to be a high level agent for Hydra.
When S.H.I.E.L.D. was taken over by Hydra, she was made into a high-ranking officer and operative. When she found out about Natasha, she used her training to try and put her down, though since they were equally matched, no one got hurt. She continued to be a Hydra agent for a while before being called back to the Red Room by General Dreykov, learning of her friend's survival. She quickly took the side of Taskmaster and General Dreykov, staying under the Red Room and working alongside her to track down Yelena Belova. However, once Romanoff killed Dreykov and destroyed the Red Room Academy, Anamarija became exposed to the Red Dust, freeing her mind from the Red Room's control. She was later arrested by Thaddeus Ross and the United States government.
With her connections to Hydra and the United States Congress, she was let out of prison and returned to her life with Hydra.
