History
Overview
Alterra "Peter" Parker, commonly referred as Spider-Man, was an Australian teacher, self-proclaimed adventurer, and a scientist working on unique technologies of underwater exploration. A certified genius in the field of scientific endeavors, Alterra hoped to one day meet alien life in the Earth's oceans. As Spider-Man, he is world renowned throughout Australia as one of the greatest heroes in the world.
Becoming Spider-Man
Alterra grew up in the suburb area of Nelson Bay. As a child, he seemed distant from his classmates, mainly due to the fact that he was treated as a freak for having higher intelligence, and being the nephew of Ben Parker, the world's leading scientist in the field of Quantum-Physics. Reaching high school, he infiltrated his uncle's laboratory to find a way to discredit him and cause him to lose his job. However, he was soon bitten by a genetically altered spider, causing him to flee before anything happened. Over time, he gained the "physiology" of a spider, and thus he became Spider-Man after his Aunt May perished in an accident, the cause of which was unknown.
Displaced
Ever since then, he was a national hero, the symbol of justice and peace, stopping criminals. He would even save his crush, Gwen, from villainous threats. After informing Gwen of his identity as Spider-Man, they soon became engaged. However, after battling Dr. Egghead, he was fired into a dimensional portal from the Dimensional Projector, sending him across the Multiverse into another reality. After this incident, it was believed by the residents of Earth-4545454, including Dr. Egghead, that Spider-Man passed on.
Paraphernalia
Equipment
- Web-Shooters: Alterra's brilliant handiwork in the physical sciences allowed him to create web-shooters for use when he became Spider-Man. The twin devices worn on his wrists are able to shoot thin strands of a special web fluid at high pressure and speeds.
- Dimensional Stablizer: This piece of high-tech equipment is a special device created by Alterra using the schematics of Dr. Eggman. This device would allow Alterra to survive in other planes of reality, stabilizing his atoms and his existence.
- Dimensional Projector: A device Alterra was able to snatch before being blasted into another reality. The Dimensional Projector is a high-tech device created by Dr. Egghead to project dimensional portals; gateways into other dimensions, and possibly other realities. However, it's currently badly damaged, and requires the advanced Ion Cube for it to properly function.
