It's your call Heavy Metal. We gonna play on the side of angels again.... or we gonna raise a little hell?
- —Dazzler
History
Alison Blaire was a mutant able to control light and sound. As her family pushed her to become a lawyer, she hid both her powers and her musical aspirations. Feeling increasingly alienated, Alison ran away from home.
As Dazzler, she became a singer and bass player, she used her powers in her shows, although she pretended to be using advanced technology instead. When a Sentinel attacked one of her shows, she was rescued by the X-Men. They asked her to join, but she declined. She did; however, give her number to one of them. They dated on and off, with Dazzler occasionally helping the X-Men and other super heroes on missions.
Dazzler was among those teleported to Reality: MS-0815 through a rift. She was granted sanctuary in the Wastelands by Magneto. Dazzler often preformed concerts for her fellow displaced mutants until they were shut down by Xorn, who was mind controlled into impersonating Magneto. When the real Magneto and the reinstated X-Men returned to the Wastelands, Dazzler finally joined their ranks.
