After finally finding some semblance of normalcy restarting her work as a private investigator in San Francisco, Jessica Jones finds herself once again pulled into the world of superheroics when she discovers a stalker she was tailing was an enhanced agent of a criminal organization known only as "the Nail." A group, she learns, with some disturbing connections to an old foe eager to reignite her past traumas...

Cast and Characters[]

Main Cast[]

  • Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones
A cynical private investigator and short-lived superhero who made her niche in San Francisco. But she soon realizes some ghosts are never ready to stop haunting her.
  • David Tennant as Kilgrave
An unrepentant psychopath and rapist capable of mind control who manipulated and abused Jessica Jones and many around her. She had killed him, but through the machinations of a being known as the Beyonder, he has returned, now working with the Nail.
  • Michael Peña as Luis
Scott Lang's best friend, a former thief and wheelman who went straight and created X-Con Security Consultants... Which eventually buckled. He now works as Jessica's assistant at Alias Investigations, and despite claiming him to be an annoyance, his infectious and likable personality has enabled her to mellow out considerably.
  • David Dastmalchian as Kurt
A reformed hacker who worked at X-Con. Like Luis, he too now works for Jessica as the computer guy. He is paranoid and superstitious, which comes in surprisingly handy when dealing with the Nail.
  • Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson as Michael Marko (first appearance)
A hulking monster of a man who acts as the Nail's head agent in San Francisco. Despite his freakish strength and size, his mind is a surprisingly formidable weapon as he has a knack for intelligence and psychological warfare. He, along with the other agents of the Nail, are seemingly immune to Kilgrave's powers.

Recurring Cast[]

  • Beat Takeshi as Joushi (first apparance)
The enigmatic leader of the Nail. A near unparalleled swordsman who can match even the likes of Dane Whitman in combat.
  • Takeshi Kaneshiro as Johnathan Ono / Spot (first appearance)
A former assassin who worked for Murakami's faction of the Hand. Since their fall, he has undergone Terrigenesis and discovered to be an Inhuman, capable of instantaneously creating dimensional portals. Despite his profession, he is surprisingly laidback and friendly, often opting for diplomacy over violence.
  • Matt Smith as The Beyonder
A supremely powerful being who resurrected Kilgrave. He claims to be an ally of the Nail, but his motives are unclear.
Matt Smith is the latest in a line of actors to portray the character.
  • Eka Darville as Malcolm Ducasse
Jessica's old friend and neighbor, now a respected investigator for Hogarth, Chao & Benowitz in New York. He still occasionally keeps in touch with Jessica and assists when he can.
