Agents of O.G.R.E. is a Disney+ original series with the first season beginning in the Marvel Cinematic Universe - MAX Phase 3. Loosely based off of a number of Marvel Comics and characters, it tells an original story with returning and new characters in the MCU.
Synopsis - Part I[]
Seventh entry in MAX Phase 3. The "Office of Ground Reconnaissance and Execution" - O.G.R.E. - was an urban legend among the agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. - the murkiest of black ops divisions dedicated to only the most classified espionage, infiltration and assassination missions, to the point where even the most highly-ranked S.H.I.E.L.D. officials never knew of its existence. Not long before S.H.I.E.L.D. fell, O.G.R.E. disappeared off the face of the Earth. Now working as the most elite and secretive of mercenaries, the agents, spies and assassins of O.G.R.E. fight to protect the world - no matter the price.
Synopsis - Part II[]
THE FINAL SEASON, and eighteenth entry in MAX Phase 3, set shortly before Avengers: Black Box. After the revelation and betrayal of Tony Masters, aka Contingency, nearly shatters the team and results in the death of Antonia Dreykov, Leader sets out to rebuild and put the pieces of his team back together and finish off the Sisters of Sin once and for all. Unfortunately for all parties involved, Sin is finding herself to decidedly not be alone with her own thoughts as a dark and terrible entity drives her into further madness. Not all parasites are of a biological variety...
Cast and Characters[]
Main Cast[]
- Jared Harris as Leader (first appearance)
The, well, leader of O.G.R.E. and one of the greatest spymasters who ever lived. Despite the unscrupulous nature of his expertise, he refuses to compromise his rather complex code of morals in the face of overwhelming darkness. O.G.R.E. was officially charged as a rogue division, but in truth, Leader discovered evidence of Hydra's infiltration and inevitability of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s collapse, and took what and who he could with him. - Joel Kinnaman as Nomad (first appearance)
O.G.R.E.'s top field operative. A longtime S.H.I.E.L.D. agent who very nearly died at the hands of the Winter Soldier at one point. After his induction into O.G.R.E., he's developed an "interesting" relationship with Bucky Barnes. Something of the heart of his team, he keeps everyone focused and grounded and is respected by those who know him. - Olga Kurylenko as Antonia Dreykov / Taskmaster
The daughter of Russian spymaster Dreykov and a former assassin of the Red Room. The various enhancements and implants forced on her gave her a perfect eidetic memory, able to copy any fighting style by only seeing it once. The newest member of O.G.R.E., she was saved by Nomad and joined the team long after they left S.H.I.E.L.D.'s service. - Regé-Jean Page as Flag (first appearance)
The creeper of O.G.R.E. A master martial artist and a former spy who worked for Britain's River House, his family's history is deeply entrenched in the world of espionage, with his roots going all the way back to the Howling Commandos and the enigmatic Serpent Society. - Carl Lumbly as Isaiah Bradley / Samaritan
A super-soldier who was also an agent of O.G.R.E. in the 1970's, he was one of the few test subjects who survived. His reward for success was imprisonment and torture by the very body he served. After faking his death, he lived a bitter life in seclusion until Sam Wilson changed everything. Leader approaches him for a mission too vital for even him to pass up. Despite his cynicism, he's regardless an old man who's still got it. - Yvonne Strahovski as Gold (first appearance)
The techie of O.G.R.E. who provides mainly scientific support, she's regardless an extremely lethal agent. Like Flag, she too has ties that go all the way back to Steve Rogers. - Pip Torrens as Contingency (first appearance)
An old friend of Leader's, going all the way back since they were kids, Contingency is the old man who knows a little bit about everything, and can cover just about any position or job at any given moment when necessary. Despite his quirky personality and nonchalance with violence, he fills the position of the big brother in the team that Leader is too aloof to occupy. Like Taskmaster, he too possesses perfect memory and develops a master-apprentice bond with her.
Recurring Cast[]
- Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury
The famous former director of S.H.I.E.L.D. and current director of S.W.O.R.D. He's one of an extremely small number of people who knows of O.G.R.E. Finding the black ops team to be something of a stained relic from before his time, he's initially antagonistic of the group as he becomes involved in their world. - Clark Gregg as Phil Coulson LMD
One of Fury's closest allies and most trusted subordinates, even he had no idea of O.G.R.E.'s existence. - Patton Oswalt as Quinlan Koenig (first appearance)
One of the famous Koenig brothers, and something of a black sheep. This made it easy for him to fake his death and join O.G.R.E. as a support member during their early years. - Elijah Richardson as Eli Bradley
Isaiah's grandson, he unwittingly becomes involved in his grandfather's world of espionage and murder. - Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes / The Winter Soldier
A super-soldier and HYDRA's most infamous assassin, he has since reformed and become a renowned hero. Due to their past encounters, he has a frenemy relationship with Nomad. - Enrico Colantoni as Showman (first appearance)
A former agent and ace marksman of O.G.R.E. who parted ways with the team after they went rogue. He occasionally, reluctantly offers support. - Emily VanCamp as Sharon Carter / Power Broker
The "king" of Madripoor and one of the most powerful crime lords in the world. A former agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. Despite the influence of growing up under her famous aunt Peggy Carter, her exile following the Civil War disillusioned and hardened her as a villain obsessed with accumulating power and wealth. - Jeffrey Dean Morgan as "Steve Rogers" / The Director (first appearance)
Sharon's right-hand man and head muscle. An obsessive fan of Captain America, he went as far as changing his legal name to be Steve Rogers. Working under the Power Broker finally allowed him to live out his super-soldier fantasies. A former leader of a white supremacist organization, working in Madripoor has given him a broader view of people - mainly, he now sees everyone as equally worthless. - Jurnee Smollett as Sin (first appearance)
A once fervently loyal assassin for HYDRA, her discovery as an Inhuman made her more valuable to the organization as a test subject. Having gone completely insane from the experiments, she broke free and rebranded herself as a mad anarchist, founding the terrorist organization/cult named the "Sisters of Sin." True to her philosophy, she causes chaos everywhere she goes and makes equal trouble for S.W.O.R.D. and the Power Broker, becoming O.G.R.E.'s primary villain in Part I. As an Inhuman, her powers grand her limited telepathy, telekinesis and short-range teleportation.
Guest Cast (Part I)[]
- Nanna Blondell as Ingrid Baranov / Sister Spider (first appearance)
A former Black Widow, she was saved from the Red Room by Natasha Romanoff and her "family." Unable to move on and find peace as a civilian, she joins the Sisters of Sin, desperate for purpose and finds joy in embracing chaos. - Freddy Carter as Brother Lam (first appearance)
The only male member of the Sisters of Sin. A former master thief who once held a rivalry with Charlie Cluster, he lost that spot due to his ruthlessness and casual destruction. - Luke Roberts as Doppelganger (first appearance)
An Asgardian master swordsman with the power to "respawn" a new body as soon as he's killed, making him effectively immortal. He was defeated and contained in the Raft by S.W.O.R.D., but broke out when the Sisters attacked the prison. Never one to miss an opportunity, he joins the Power Broker's forces as she wages war on the Sisters of Sin.
Guest Cast (Part II)[]
- Aubrey Plaza as Sister Chicken (first appearance)
One of the Sisters of Sin and Ingrid's replacement after her death. Capable, but completely out of her mind, Sister Chicken seems to take a strange delight in pushing Sin further into depravity and madness, and seems to feed off her torment. - James McAvoy as Charles Xavier (first appearance)
The leader of the X-Men. He has appeared before Leader, desperate to find a mysterious old foe of his that he feels may be the force behind the Sisters of Sin. - Rob Morgan as Turk Barrett
An arms dealer and the MCU's biggest punchline. He is forced to supply the Sisters of Sin in fear of his life, and secretly tries to help O.G.R.E. by supplying them with information. - Keith David as Frederick Duncan (first appearance)
A senior FBI agent and old friend of Leader's, whom he turns to in an hour of need. - Navid Negahban as "The Sun and the Moon" (first appearance) (voice role)
A mysterious, malevolent voice that Sin repeatedly hears in her head. He may be much more than that though, as Charles seems far more fearful of him than most past adversaries...
