History
Ace Peterson was the distant father of the superhero Deathlok. He always put his work at Project Centipede over raising his son. Mike was badly injured during Galactus' invasion of Earth, Ace used cybernetic technology to save Mike's life and transform him into Deathlok. Despite saving his life, this ended up putting more strain on their relationship and Mike now viewed himself as a freak.
